2. Data We Collect & Where It Lives

Transparency is our priority. Here is exactly what data is collected and how it is stored:

  • On-Device Data (Not on our servers): Your personal app data—including scan history, shopping lists, saved analyses, and family profiles (with names and dietary restrictions)—is stored locally on your device. We do not upload or sync this sensitive health information to our cloud databases.
  • Account Information: If you create an account (required for Premium), we securely store your email address and subscription status on our authenticated servers to provide you access to paid features.
  • Product Data & AI Processing: When you scan a product, the App sends anonymous product data (such as barcodes, ingredient text, or label photos) to third-party services, including Google Gemini (for AI analysis) and public product databases. This product data is never linked to your personal identity, email, or local family profiles.

3. How We Use Your Data

Your local data is strictly used on-device to calculate personalized health scores, flag restricted ingredients, and maintain your history. Your account data is used solely for authentication and subscription management. We do not sell your personal data to third-party marketers or data brokers.

4. Data Security & Deletion

Account information is protected using industry-standard encryption. Because your personal health and family data is stored entirely on your device, you have full control over it. You can delete this data at any time by clearing the app data or uninstalling the app. To request the deletion of your cloud account and email, please contact us.
